TOTh 2024 Conference and Training session
TOTh 2024 (Terminology & Ontology: Theories and Applications) has come to a close!
Since 2007, TOTh has been held at the University Savoie Mont Blanc (Chambéry) during the first week of June. From 2023 onwards, it has been organized by the University of Crete (Rethymno).
The TOTh Conferences: Terminology & Ontology: Theories and applications bring together researchers, professionals and, more generally, all persons interested in issues related to language and knowledge engineering.
TOTh is sponsored by the Ministère de la Culture – Délégation Générale à la Langue Française et aux Langues de France. Official languages: English and French.

This year’s highlights:
- 2 days of intensive, hands-on training led by Christophe Roche (University of Crete), Silvia Piccini (CNR-ILC, Italy), and Maria Papadopoulou (University of Crete).
- 2 days of conferences featuring: 1 opening talk, 16 papers, and 6 posters (including TALOS team member, Rafail Giannadakis). [slides]
- Total registered attendees: 89
- Training: 27 online + 7 onsite
- Conference: 27 onsite + 30 online (on average)
- Representation from 22 countries
TOTh 2025, is going to take place during the first week of June 2025, in Chambéry (France) and online.
