Title: Saussure’s Terminology: Formalizing a Paradigm Shift in Science on the Semantic Web
Abstract: This presentation will examine the key aspects of Ferdinand de Saussure’s terminology work and its formalization in the onto-terminological resource SIMPLE_FdS. The architecture of this resource is largely based on the SIMPLE model and is rooted in Pustejovsky’s generative lexicon theory. The presentation will also address the challenges and solutions for representing the diachronic aspects of this terminology within the context of semantic web technologies.
Time: 20:30 – 21:30 (Greek time)
Venue: Room 7, School of Philology, Gallos Campus, Rethymno
