TALOS AI4SSH Lab Visits Schools in Heraklion: Shaping the Future of AI Education
As part of its commitment to accessible, human-centric AI education, the TALOS AI4SSH Lab had the privilege of being represented by Evangelos Katis during two school visits in Heraklion, connecting with inspiring educators at the 2nd Laboratory Center of Heraklion (April 24, 2026) and the 5th EPAL of Heraklion (May 11, 2026).
The discussions centered on how Artificial Intelligence is rapidly transforming our world—from everyday conveniences like health diagnostics and content recommendations to smart homes and driving. The presentations explored how AI can actively facilitate a teacher’s workflow, while also navigating both the immense benefits of these tools and the critical necessity for responsible use guidelines.
These visits have not only sparked meaningful awareness but also built powerful local partnerships that pave the way for future classroom collaborations through the two initiatives: the TALOS AI4SSH and the AI-Literacy Teacher Academy.
The TALOS team extends its warmest thanks to the principals, organizers, and professors of both schools for the invitation, the hospitality, and for actively shaping the future of education.
