TALOS 2026 Inaugural Event: Visit by Toma Tasovac (DARIAH ERIC, Director Emeritus) | Hybrid

The TALOS Lab inaugurates its 2026 events with a hybrid gathering on 17 February 2026, featuring Toma Tasovac (DARIAH ERIC, Director Emeritus). The programme includes talks by Toma Tasovac and Stavroula Konstantopoulou (PhD candidate, University of Valladolid & Visiting Scholar, Talos Lab), a TALOS Award Ceremony (Open Dataset Reuse Award and Short Program–Diploma in DH Excellence Award), and the traditional vasilopita cake cutting. The event will take place onsite in Rethymno (KEME/UCRC) and online via Zoom.

3rd Meeting of Greek ERA Chairs – Deliverables and Impact | Upgrading Research in Greece

The University of Crete and FORTH co-organize the 3rd Meeting of Greek ERA Chairs on October 30, 2025, in Heraklion and online, highlighting research excellence and collaboration under the Horizon Europe ERA Chairs Programme. Co-organized by Prof. George Garinis and Prof. Melina Tamiolaki, the event features a presentation by Prof. Christophe Roche representing TALOS-AI4SSH.

TALOS Hosts AI4DH Delegation at the University of Crete

The TALOS Lab at the University of Crete is resuming its activities with a collaborative visit from the Slovenian ERA Chair Delegation – AI4DH. Professors Antoine Doucet and Marko Robnik Šikonja will join TALOS for a full day of exchange, fostering stronger European partnerships at the crossroads of Artificial Intelligence and the Humanities and Social Sciences.

Dimitris Kotzinos visit at TALOS Lab

Join us on Friday, May 16, 2025, as TALOS Lab welcomes Professor Dimitris Kotzinos (CY Cergy Paris University) for a presentation on his European research projects in Social Sciences and Humanities. A leading expert in AI, data semantics, and ethical computing, Prof. Kotzinos will share insights from his work on knowledge graphs, social networks, and AI fairness. The open event will take place from 10:30 to 12:30 at the TALOS Conference Room, Rethymno.
