Last chance to register for the TOTh 2026 AI Terminology Training!
There is still time to register for the TOTh 2026 training session “Bringing Artificial Intelligence to Terminology: A Step-by-Step Project Approach”, which will take place onsite and online on 2–3 June 2026, just before the 20th Anniversary Edition of the TOTh International Conference on 4–5 June 2026 at the University Savoie Mont Blanc, France.
The training offers a practical introduction to the use of AI, NLP, Generative AI, ontologies, and knowledge graphs in terminology work, following a complete workflow from corpus preparation to the production of a structured digital terminology. Its premise is clear and timely: Generative AI is a tool, not the expert. The expert remains central in guiding, evaluating, and structuring terminological work. For this reason, the session combines theoretical grounding with hands-on exercises and a step-by-step project approach.
The training is led by Dr Silvia Piccini (Italian National Research Council), Prof. Christophe Roche (University of Crete & Université Savoie Mont Blanc), and Asst. Prof. Maria Papadopoulou (University of Crete). With participation limited to 25 people, this is the final opportunity to join a focused training designed for those interested in the latest developments in terminology and AI-assisted knowledge organisation!
Registration also remains open for the TOTh 2026 conference itself, which marks the 20th anniversary of the longest-running international conference devoted to terminology. The anniversary edition will bring together researchers, professionals, and the wider TOTh community for invited lectures, round tables, accepted communications, posters, and a Young Researcher Prize.
