The TALOS Lab participated in the Erasmus+ project “VR & AR Classroom Transformers”, hosted by the Experimental Junior High School of the University of Crete from September 22–26, 2025, in Rethymno. The event brought together students and educators from Greece, France, Portugal, Romania, and Curaçao, blending cultural exchange with hands-on exploration of immersive technologies in education.

As part of the opening academic program, Professor Eleni Katsarou (Member of the TALOS Steering Committee) delivered the talk “AI in Education: From Curriculum Analysis to Classroom Practices.” Her presentation explored how Artificial Intelligence can enhance learning environments, reshape teaching methodologies, and promote inclusive, innovative educational experiences.

Following her, Rafail Giannadakis (TALOS Research Assistant) presented “Reawakening the Ancient World: Journeys through AI & VR/AR Technologies.” His session highlighted how AI tools, 3D modeling, and virtual and auditory reconstructions via Generative AI are revolutionizing the study of antiquity, allowing learners to explore cultural heritage in interactive and engaging ways.

The participation of TALOS underscored the Lab’s mission to bridge Artificial Intelligence, Digital Humanities, and Education, showcasing how technology can empower creative learning and preserve cultural memory.
