
TALOS at the Hybrid International Women’s Day Event of the 14th Panhellenic Student Conference of Archaeology
The TALOS Lab will be represented today at the hybrid event organised on the occasion of International Women’s Day by the 14th Panhellenic Student Conference of Archaeology. The event takes place on Saturday, 7 March 2026, at the Student and Cultural Center “Xenia” (Psarrou 46, Rethymno) and online.

TALOS Lab members Antonia Lourentzaki (Research Assistant, TALOS AI4SSH) and Rachel Milio (PhD candidate, TALOS AI4SSH) will deliver the talk “Prostitutes and Queens: Making Women of the Past visible in the Digital Age” (18:25–18:45). Their contribution highlights how digital approaches can support the study and visibility of women in the past, connecting archaeological and historical questions with contemporary Digital Humanities methods.
The evening brings together academic voices on women’s presence and contribution in research, education, and culture, and includes a book exhibition running in parallel, offering attendees the opportunity to support this student initiative.
