New hybrid GIS Training by Alexandros Maridakis (UoC)!
TALOS Lab marks GIS Day 2025 with a hybrid, hands-on GIS workshop led by Alexandros Maridakis (University of Crete) on Tuesday, 18 November 2025, 11:30–14:30 (EEST). Participants will use QGIS and ArcGIS to map and analyze humanities and cultural-heritage data; the session is in English, recorded, and offered onsite at UCRC KEME (Building Γ2/Γ3) and online via Zoom.

TALOS Participation in Two-Day Seminar for Secondary Education Teachers (Heraklion)
TALOS members Prof. Eleni Katsarou and Rafail Giannadakis participated in a two-day seminar for secondary education teachers in Heraklion (9–10 Oct 2025), presenting on AI in education and curricula analysis, and AI/VR-AR for teaching antiquity. The event highlighted innovative, participatory practices aligned with the new curricula and strengthened ties between research and classroom practice.

Join us for a two-day training session on text processing and analysis techniques, focusing on both modern and ancient Greek texts. Explore tools like NLTK, SpaCy, CLTK, and UGARIT while gaining hands-on experience with sentiment analysis.
