The TALOS Lab is pleased to announce that Prof. Christophe Roche, ERA Chair Holder of the TALOS–AI4SSH project and Emeritus Professor at Université Savoie Mont Blanc (France), will deliver an invited lecture at Al Wasl University’s 4th International Conference on Graduate Studies and Scientific Research in Dubai.

Lecture title: Validation of Terminology: The Contribution of Formal Approaches

Prof. Roche’s talk, titled “Validation of Terminology: The Contribution of Formal Approaches”, will be given during the conference theme on terminology and the human sciences in the age of Artificial Intelligence. He will discuss how rigorous, ontology-based methods can be used to define, structure, and validate terminological resources so that they remain conceptually sound, interoperable, and reusable in AI-driven environments.
This invited lecture continues TALOS’s contribution to international discussions at the intersection of terminology, ontology, and Artificial Intelligence, with a special focus on their applications in the humanities and social sciences.
