TALOS Research Visit to Athens: Rafail Giannadakis at NTUA and GlossAPI
The TALOS Lab reports the successful research visit of Rafail Giannadakis (Research Assistant, TALOS AI4SSH, University of Crete) to Athens, where he was invited to the Logic and Formal Methods Research Group (λ-Form Group) at the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) and to the GlossAPI team of the Free and Open Source Software Company (GFOSS – ΕΕΛΛΑΚ). The visit took place on 8 and 9 December 2025.
The visit was hosted by Dr Petros Stefaneas, Faculty Member in the Department of Mathematics and Head of the λ-Form Group, and his collaborators. In this context, Giannadakis delivered two talks:
(1) “Modelling Knowledge in Ancient World Studies: The Cases of Archaic Lyric Poetry and Philosophy”, focused on his research within the project regarding terminological and ontological modelling for ancient Greek intellectual traditions.
(2) “The Phenomenon of Reflection in the Service of Ontology and Epistemology in Plato’s Republic”, explored philosophical concepts aligned with the broader research interests of Giannadakis and members of the λ-Form Group.
The visit strengthened links between TALOS AI4SSH, NTUA, and GFOSS, fostering dialogue across digital humanities, formal methods, and open AI infrastructures, and laying the groundwork for future interdisciplinary collaboration.
📅 Dates: 8–9 December 2025
📍 Venues: NTUA (λ-Form Group, SEMFE) and GFOSS / GlossAPI
🤝 Host (NTUA): Dr Petros Stefaneas
