Dimitris Kotzinos visit at TALOS Lab

Join us on Friday, May 16, 2025, as TALOS Lab welcomes Professor Dimitris Kotzinos (CY Cergy Paris University) for a presentation on his European research projects in Social Sciences and Humanities. A leading expert in AI, data semantics, and ethical computing, Prof. Kotzinos will share insights from his work on knowledge graphs, social networks, and AI fairness. The open event will take place from 10:30 to 12:30 at the TALOS Conference Room, Rethymno.

An Exploration into the Knowledge Network of The Journey to the West – A Digital Humanities Approach

The 4th lecture “AI and Education: Challenges and Perspectives” will be held on March 12, 2025, at 19:30 (Greek time) at “Xenia” in Rethymnon and online. Eleni Katsarou will discuss AI’s impact on education, with Panagiotis Anastasiadis as discussant. The event is open to the public, with a webcast link available soon in this blog post.

Training for TALOS interns!

On February 20, Rafail Giannadakis introduced TALOS interns to knowledge modeling, ontoterminologies, and TEDI software in a private training. However, it is recalled that Prof. Christophe Roche will provide a fuller and hands-on training on these topics next Monday in an open hybrid training! Join us for a two-day training session on text processing and analysis techniques, focusing on both modern and ancient Greek texts. Explore tools like NLTK, SpaCy, CLTK, and UGARIT while gaining hands-on experience with sentiment analysis. The training will be led by Dr. Dimitrios Bilianos, an expert in computational linguistics on February 10-11 at the UCRC & online. The sessions will be recorded.
