GIULIANA ELIZABETH VILELA RUIZ
Giuliana Elizabeth Vilela Ruiz is a Ph.D. candidate at the University of Crete, Department of Philology, focused on exploring the zoological ontoterminological aspects of Rerum Medicarum Novae Hispaniae Thesaurus by Francisco Hernández, comparing classical models with particular attention to Aristotle. She is also a Research Fellow at the Institute of Computational Linguistics “A. Zampolli” (ILC-CNR) in Pisa (Italy), involved in the research project “RUT: Models, Resources, Methodologies, and Tools for the Representation of Terminological and Ontological Resources,” which aims to develop cutting-edge approaches and methodologies for the representation of terminological and ontological resources. She holds a Master’s Degree in Theoretical Linguistics, and her research interests include semantics, diachronic terminology, and translation.
